Redax^® Spiral Drain

The unique patented Redax Spiral Drain is made of biocompatible radiopaque silicone with a grooved tube segment.

The grooved spiral profile ensures that the Redax Spiral Drain keeps its shape, allowing efficient drainage through the capillary principle. This reduces the likelihood of a blockage, even if the product undergoes traction and/or torsion.

• Designed with 4 narrow helical ducts
• Available in many sizes, either Round or Flat profile
• The design ensures a reduction in the likelihood of the drain occluding if it is compressed (kinked) or placed in the wound cavity in a curved position, allowing effective drainage to be maintained
• Available with or without needle
• The design of the drain reduces the risk of collapsing, which allows connection to either a bellows, silicone reservoir or the Medinorm Pre-vacuumed Low Vacuum System
• Total capillary drainage throughout the length of the drain
• The bonding of the spiral section to the connection allows for an atraumatic insertion and removal of the drain
• Latex free – provides protection against potential latex allergy for nursing staff and patients
• Suitable for many kinds of surgery
