The Summit Medical Group is delighted to announce the launch of Orthodynamics Pty Ltd in Australia. After more than 30 years of experience in global orthopaedics markets, the Group’s Orthodynamics brand now makes its first direct appearance in the Australian market as part of an exciting period of expansion for the business.

Orthodynamics Pty Ltd offer a wide range of clinical solutions including specialist Orthopaedic Implants for both large joint arthroplasty and major revision / reconstruction, as well as a range of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine devices for ligomentoplasty and soft tissue repair for the knee, shoulder, foot and hand.

The Gloucestershire based Summit Medical Group is delighted to announce the acquisition of Orthomed S.A. (France). Backed by its majority shareholder, The Riverside Company, the Summit Medical Group completed their most recent acquisition on the 7th October 2010.

Orthomed, founded in 1980, specializes in the development, manufacture and marketing of orthopaedic medical devices for repair of soft tissue focusing mainly on ligament fixation. The Summit Medical Group announces the re-naming of Eska Orthodynamics GmbH to Orthodynamics GmbH

German based Eska Orthodynamics (Lübeck) has been re-named Orthodynamics, reflecting the strong orthopaedics heritage and complementary activities of our UK based Orthodynamics business.

The new name, which forms part of a wider brand review, was launched at the DKOU meeting in Berlin on the 26th October 2010. As part of this exercise, the familiar Eska Orthodynamics logo has changed. The logos below show the visual change that has taken place:
